Akari Japanese Restaurant is seeking a qualified Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Number of Positions: 1

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hourly Wage: C$36.60~C$37.00

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary for vacation pay

Work Location: Delta, BC

Qualifications:

– Completion of secondary school is required.            

– A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service sector, including experience in a supervisory role, is required.

– The valid Serving It Right certificate is required.

– Leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills are required.

– Language of Work: English

Job Duties:

– Assist the restaurant manager in overseeing daily operations, analyzing budget and ensuring customer service excellence and the restaurant’s profits

– Supervise and train staff

– Monitor staff performance

– Implement company policies and operational procedures

– Handle inventory, order supplies and minimize waste

– Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

– Assist in recruiting and scheduling, and maintain strong collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams

– Ensure staff compliance with service standards, and health and safety regulations

– Review customer feedback and address any customer concerns professionally
