Assistant Housekeeping Manager
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager for Aramark located at 233 Logan Rd., Bridgewater, NS B4V 3T3, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in planning, organizing, and directing the housekeeping operations of the facility, including offices, common areas, locker rooms, and production support spaces.
Support the development and implementation of housekeeping policies, operational procedures, and sanitation standards in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate departmental activities and oversee supervisors and staff to ensure operational plans and service standards are consistently maintained.
Assist in workforce planning, staff scheduling, and allocation of departmental resources to support efficient housekeeping operations.
Conduct facility inspections and operational reviews to ensure compliance with company quality standards, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
Assist in monitoring departmental budgets, controlling costs, and managing procurement and inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Coordinate with facility maintenance, operations, and food service departments to ensure sanitation standards and facility upkeep are maintained.
Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of housekeeping personnel, and maintain departmental records related to operations, inspections, and safety compliance.
Oversee the coordination and scheduling of on-site laundry operations for facility cleaning materials such as cloths, rags, mop heads, and other reusable housekeeping supplies.
Ensure laundry operations follow sanitation protocols and inventory control procedures, maintaining adequate supply of clean materials to support housekeeping activities across the facility.
May perform other duties reasonably assigned.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience within facility operations.
Previous custodial experience required
Previous experience of working in a food service operations would be considered an asset for future growth
Previous experience in a supervisory or related role preferred
Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision
Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers Adaptable to guest needs
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Language: English.
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour for 40 hours per week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
Benefits: 4% vacation, extended medical, dental and short term disability.
