Salary: $36.00 / Hour

Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week

Workplace: On-site (Various commercial & residential sites across Ontario)

Schedule: Morning, Afternoon

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • System Installation: Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials (including TPO, EPDM, and PVC membranes).

  • System Maintenance: Repair, patch, and reinforce existing residential and commercial flat roofing structures.

  • Site Setup: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, ladders, and other crucial elevated working platforms safely.

  • System Integration: Work alongside carpentry teams to ensure proper roof structure drainage, and fit flashing securely around skylights and attic ventilation units.

  • Water Management: Inspect, clear, and configure flat roof eavestrough systems to prevent standing water damage.

  • Seasonal Maintenance: Perform emergency flat roof leak repairs, snow removal, and ice mitigation during winter months.

Qualifications & Requirements:
 

  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of hands-on flat roofing experience.

  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.

  • Physical Capabilities: Must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors under varied weather conditions.

  • Fitness Levels: Physically demanding environment requiring heavy lifting (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs), bending, crouching, and kneeling.

  • Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, fine attention to structural detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight project timelines.

  •

  • Highly dependable, reliable, and punctual.

  • A cooperative team player who works seamlessly with ground crews and foremen.
