At Powerline Plus Ltd., we focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers across the GTA.

We are currently looking for a Truck Mechanic Apprentice to join our team based out of Scarborough Ontario. The Apprentice will inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of light and commercial trucks.

This role involves a high level of multitasking, accuracy and time management and is a great opportunity for someone to excel within a reputable organization.  

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shop assistant
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·                Must be enrolled in Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities approved apprenticeship program – 310T / 310S.

–                Ability to operate manual transmission required

·                Ability to gather, collect, assess and report critical information

·                Valid G License with a clean driver abstract

–                Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office would be an asset
