 Company Description 

Roze Mediterranean Foods Ltd. is a licensed meat manufacturing facility based in Abbotsford, BC, specializing in producing donair and shawarma cones for commercial foodservice clients. The company operates from a modern, HACCP-certified production facility, utilizing specialized equipment and a structured production line designed specifically for consistent, high-volume donair cone manufacturing. 

Roze Foods supplies clients across British Columbia and maintains strict food safety and quality control standards in compliance with HACCP programs, Fraser Health, and WorkSafeBC regulations. The production process requires precise control of temperature, formulation, and equipment settings to ensure product safety, consistency, and structural integrity. 

Terms of Employment: 

Permanent, Full Time 

Salary: 

$36.60 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week

Education: 

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required 

Post-secondary education in food science, food safety, manufacturing, or a related field is an asset 

Equivalent practical experience in meat or food processing may be considered in place of formal education 

Experience: 

Minimum 2 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment, preferably in meat processing. 

Experience working with food safety and quality control systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, or similar standards). 

Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role in a production environment is an asset. 

Strong knowledge of sanitation, food handling, and workplace safety practices. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and oversee multiple staff. 

Experience in donair, shawarma, or similar meat product production is considered an asset. 

Languages: 

Written and spoken English is required 

Work Environment: 

Work is performed in a temperature-controlled meat production facility, with refrigerated areas maintained at approximately 4–5 °C. 

Position requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Supervision 

Supervise 9–12 production employees 

Position Details 

Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the donair cone production line, ensuring production targets, product consistency, and food safety standards are met 
  • Oversee employees operating specialized meat processing equipment, including industrial grinders, mixers, vacuum fillers, and vertical donair cone forming/filling stations 
  • Ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation of equipment based on established production parameters, product specifications, and standardized recipes 
  • Monitor all stages of meat processing, including grinding, mixing, forming, and cone assembly 
  • Verify product quality, weight consistency, and structural integrity of finished products 
  • Adjust machine settings (e.g., fill pressure, portion control, mixing time, output rate) to maintain efficiency and consistency 

 

 

  • Maintain smooth production flow while minimizing downtime and material waste 

 

Team Supervision: 

  • Supervise and coordinate production staff across multiple workstations 
  • Train employees on equipment operation, safe material handling, and production procedures 
  • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with company policies and food safety standards 

 

Shift Structure: 

  • Production operates on a two-shift system based on volume requirements 
  • Supervisor must be available to work flexible hours in alignment with operational needs 
  • Occasional weekend work may be required from time to time to support production demands 

 

Systems & Compliance: 

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP-certified food safety systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) 
  • Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs), including temperature control, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention 
  • Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and food safety documentation 
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections 

 

Technical Requirements: 

  • Experience supervising meat processing or food production operations 

    • Hands-on experience with food processing equipment, such as: Industrial meat grinders and mixers 
    • Vacuum filling systems 
    • Forming or portioning systems (experience with donair or similar structured meat products is an asset) 
    •  
    • Working knowledge of: Equipment settings and adjustments (e.g., pressure, speed, timing) 
    • Batch consistency and recipe control 
    • Temperature management in meat processing environments 
    •  
    • Ability to support troubleshooting and operational adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency 

 

Essential Skills: 

  • Strong oral communication skills to coordinate with production staff and management 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment

  • Sound decision-making abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
