Description

Position Info:

·         Position: Carpenter

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 6-1539 34 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB T2T 2B2

Job Duties:

·         Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and execution methods

·         Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install a variety of construction materials including wood, steel, and composite products

·         Plan and coordinate on-site work activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within timelines

·         Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs to support project planning and budgeting

·         Supervise and provide guidance to junior carpenters and labourers to maintain quality workmanship and safety standards

·         Perform renovation, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial structures as required

·         Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations and building standards

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 3-5 years of related experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
