At NVision, our Learning Services team is recognized for co-developing culturally grounded learning products that are engaging, accessible, and aligned with clear learning objectives.

Our work respects Indigenous knowledge systems and proven learning approaches. We create learning experiences that reflect community values and support personal and professional growth.

Our team collaborates to design and deliver inclusive, multi-modal learning in English, French, and Inuktut. We work with Indigenous governments, federal, provincial, and territorial departments, and non-profit organizations to create both in-person and online training.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Learning Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will help design, build, and test interactive online courses and learning materials that support our clients. You will work with a supportive team and have opportunities for mentorship and growth.

Anticipated Start Date: May 19, 2026

Compensation: $65,653 – $98,479 Annually

Location: Ottawa, Winnipeg, Iqaluit, or Remote

This position is open to remote workers who live in Canada (must have reliable internet and a quiet workspace) or may work out of our offices in Ottawa, Winnipeg, or Iqaluit.

Travel may be required for meetings, project tasks, engagement and fieldwork.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Work with the learning design team as the process from initial ideas to final product is defined and executed.
  • Help design and build online learning modules using tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Contribute to creating interactive slides, graphics, activities, and multimedia assets.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to create clear, respectful, and accessible learning materials.
  • Write and edit accessible, learner-friendly text and screen content.
  • Support testing and review to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Share ideas to improve the learner experience, especially for Indigenous audiences.
  • Help identify new business opportunities and innovative learning approaches.

 

What We’re Looking For:

We encourage applications from people who have:

  • Post-secondary education in a field relevant to adult learning or e-learning, or equivalent lived experience.
  • Two to five years of experience in e-learning, instructional design, digital storytelling, or graphic design
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline/Rise360 or other e-learning tools.
  • Ability to build respectful working relationships, communicate clearly with diverse audiences, and respond professionally to user support needs.
  • Experience working with Indigenous clients, communities or organizations.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to issues surrounding Indigenous reconciliation and inclusion.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimal amount of supervision.

 

Assets (Nice to have):

  • Experience with WCAG or accessibility standards.
  • Audio/video editing or animation experience.
  • Familiarity with LMS or online learning systems.
  • Knowledge of an Indigenous language, in any capacity, from beginner to advanced, written or oral.
