Our team collaborates to design and deliver inclusive, multi-modal learning in English, French, and Inuktut. We work with Indigenous governments, federal, provincial, and territorial departments, and non-profit organizations to create both in-person and online training.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Learning Management System Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for the administration and ongoing improvement of the Moodle Workplace Learning Management System (LMS). This includes implementing system functionality and accessibility features to ensure a consistent, user-friendly experience. The LMS Coordinator maintains system effectiveness through thoughtful configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and user support.

Anticipated Start Date: April 27, 2026

Location: Ottawa, Winnipeg, Iqaluit, or Remote

This position is open to remote workers who live in Canada (must have reliable internet and a quiet workspace) or may work out of our offices in Ottawa, Winnipeg, or Iqaluit.

Travel may be required for meetings, project tasks, engagement and fieldwork.

What You Will Do:

The LMS Coordinator will ensure the reliable operation and functionality of the Moodle Workplace Learning Management System (LMS), including:

·Overseeing end-to-end user administration including enrolling users, roles/permissions, progress tracking and testing in our staging site.

·Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the LMS.

·Providing user support via email, including technical assistance, and training for colleagues and course participants to ensure a smooth learning experience.

·Understanding integrations including plugins, H5P, and others as required to support course requirements.

·Supporting the delivery of virtual sessions and online classrooms as needed.

·Developing, maintaining and customizing reporting tools.

·Implementing and maintaining secure authorization and access control mechanisms.

·Identifying opportunities to improve LMS functionality, features, and user experience. Proposing, planning, and implementing upgrades as needed.

·Regularly monitoring all technical support emails and proactively following up with participants when required.

·Creating and maintaining documentation on LMS processes, best practices, and user guides to ensure efficient system usage.

What We’re Looking For:

We encourage applications from people who have:

  • Post-secondary education in a computer related field like programming, or in instructional design, or equivalent lived experience.
  • Two to five years of experience administering and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., Moodle) including user management and technical support.
  • Comfort working with LMS platforms and standards such as SCORM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues.
  • Ability to build respectful working relationships, communicate clearly with diverse audiences, and respond professionally to user support needs.
  • Experience working with Indigenous clients, communities or organizations.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to issues surrounding Indigenous reconciliation and inclusion.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimal amount of supervision.

Assets (Nice to have):

  • Knowledge of an Indigenous language, in any capacity, from beginner to advanced, written or oral.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite of software, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline/Rise360 and WCAG or accessibility standards.
