About NVision Strategic Relationship Management Service Basket:

For over 20 years, NVision’s Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) team has served as a trusted bridge, connecting Indigenous governments and organizations with federal, territorial, and provincial representatives. We help build relationships and find common ground. 

We manage the engagement process and facilitate productive conversations that lead to real solutions. 

Additionally, we provide continuity and secretariat support for national Indigenous coalitions, along with a range of other support services.

 

About the Role:

This Coordinator position will be an integral part of the Strategic Relationship Management service basket. This role will provide administrative support to on-going and new policy collaborations and awareness-raising/learning tools, as well as on-going communications needs and event coordination support, including high-profile political meetings and national conferences.

Anticipated Start Date: July 20, 2026

Compensation: $52,522 – $72,218 annually.

Location: Remote or Ottawa, Iqaluit or Winnipeg

This position is open to remote workers who live in Canada (must have reliable internet and a quiet workspace) or may be based out of one of our offices in Ottawa, Iqaluit, or Winnipeg.

Travel will be required for meetings, project tasks, engagement and fieldwork.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide coordination support for meetings, including agendas, correspondence, scheduling and document management.
  • Provide support for in-person and virtual conferences, workshops, and other Service Basket events.
  • Support a wide range of collaborative projects with proficient note-taking, following our notes guidelines and protocols. Meetings take place on Zoom, MS Teams and occasionally teleconference or in-person.
  • Research as required:

    • Conduct online and document research
    • Design research and administrative support tools
    • Collect, manage, and analyze data
    • Develop, conduct, collate surveys and survey results
    • Write reports, summaries, synthesize documents
  • Other project support tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

We encourage applications from people who have:

  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to capture complex discussions in detailed meeting notes.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Comfort working with large groups and communicating with a wide range of clients.
  • Basic computer skills (for example: using shared drives and MS Office tools).

The Coordinator must be comfortable working in cross-cultural settings, particularly with Indigenous communities, organizations, and governments across Canada.

Assets (Nice to have):

  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories in Canada, particularly in the Modern Treaty and Self-Governing Indigenous Government context.
  • Knowledge of an Indigenous language, in any capacity, from beginner to advanced, written or oral.
  • Fluency in French, verbal and written.
  • Experience with group facilitation.
  • Experience with event, workshop, and/or meeting coordination.
  • Experience using social media in a business context.
