Position: Guest Services Agent

Job Duties:

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival

• Prepare documents and keys required for registration

• Register arriving guests and assign rooms

• Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments

• Make, confirm, cancel and change reservations

• Promptly and courteously attend to telephone calls and text messages, directing as appropriate

• Provide information on hotel facilities and services

• Provide detailed information about points of interest in Whistler

• Concierge services including booking activities, dining reservations and transport

• Store and retrieve luggage

• Arrange services required for guests with special needs

• Ensure guest special requests are efficiently completed

• Follow emergency and safety procedures

• Ensure guest satisfaction by resolving concerns professionally and efficiently

• Other related duties as assigned by the Front Office leadership team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

· Completion of secondary school is required.

· No experience is required, but previous Tourism & Hospitality experience would be an asset.

· Competent in Microsoft Office software (including Word, Outlook, Excel).

· Both written and oral English skills are required.

· Physically capable of lifting luggage up to 40lbs.

· Positive attitude with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of Whistler and its attractions is highly valued.

· Feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking.

Employment Details

Positions Available: 1

Employment Term: Full-time, Permanent

Language of Work: English

Wage: $22.00 per hour

Work Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Vacation: 4% vacation accrual
