Salary: CAD$32.50 per hour

Working hours: 35-40 hours per week

Your Role:

As an Automotive Body Painter (Refinishing Technician) at Autobody 1, you will play a critical role in our operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, cleaning, masking, and applying primers as required.
  • Inspecting repaired body surfaces to ensure proper surface condition prior to painting.
  • Mixing and matching paint to the perfect shade to meet customer requirements and restoring vehicles to their original condition or better.
  • Applying base coat and clear coat finishes using spray equipment in accordance with industry standards.
  • Monitoring drying and curing processes to ensure optimal finish quality and durability.
  • Perform polishing, buffing, and minor touch-ups to ensure colour consistency and high-gloss finish.
  • Maintain spray booth equipment and ensure proper operation of painting tools and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
  • Ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in automotive refinishing.
  • Minimum two years of work experience in automotive body painting or refinishing
  • Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
