Plantloop Biotech Corporation is a Metro Vancouver-based company specializing in plant-based foodservice and sustainable lifestyle products, including eco-friendly cutlery and reusable water bottles designed to reduce reliance on plastics.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment used to produce plant-based materials and products.

• Prepare raw materials, including bio-based resins and additives, following production specifications and formulas.

• Adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, speed, and die configuration to ensure consistent output and product quality.

• Change dies, tooling, and materials to accommodate different production runs and product types.

• Observe production processes and identify issues related to flow, consistency, or product defects; make adjustments as needed.

• Conduct routine quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on extrusion equipment and report mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.

• Maintain accurate production records, material usage logs, and equipment performance data.

• Follow workplace safety procedures, environmental practices, and company operating guidelines.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable material processing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• At least 1 year of experience operating extrusion or plastic/material processing machinery is required.
• Ability to understand production specifications, technical instructions, and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Compensation:

$21.00/Hour

Work Schedule:

40 Hours a week (8 hours, 5 days a week)
