Description
We are currently seeking a General Construction Labourer to assist with day-to-day site preparation, material handling, and general labour support related to residential development projects.
About the Role
As a General Construction Labourer, you will assist with property preparation, minor maintenance tasks, material handling, and site organization activities under the direction of supervisors and contractors. You will help maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments across project locations and show-home properties. Your contributions will support the efficient coordination and completion of development projects.
Position: General Construction Labourer
Term of Employment: Full-Time Permanent
Wage: $22 to $27 per hour
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Location: Vernon, BC
Job Duties:
• Assist construction workers and tradespeople with daily tasks on active job sites.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials to designated work areas.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain construction sites, including debris removal and basic setup.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision.
• Support minor renovation work and preparation activities under the direction of licensed contractors.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with site safety regulations at all times.
• Perform general labour duties and assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Previous experience as a construction helper, general labourer, or related position is an asset.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials is an advantage.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
