Lobster Boil is a celebrated Seafood Restaurant and Café located in Thornhill Ontario. The first of its kind in Ontario, Lobster Boil is known for its southern style seafood boils, warm buttery lobster rolls, garlic mussels and dynamite shrimp; while its Café bar provides a unique coffee and mocktail experience.

The restaurant café is seeking a self-motivated Restaurant Manager to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of restaurant.

The candidate will also participate in various safety and workplace hygiene activities designed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to establish their career with a reputable restaurant. 

Job Duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant.
  • Monitor services being offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
  • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
  • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
  • Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline preferred.
  • Must have good time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
