QG Meat Ltd. is one of the major meat suppliers in GTA. Our company has more than 15 years of experience in the meat wholesale business as well as supermarket chains. Due to business growth, we are urgently hiring 1 full-time Butcher-wholesale.

Position Title：Butcher-wholesale

Position Type：Full-time Permanent

Hours of work：35-40 hours per week，52 weeks per year

Salary:  $23.00 per hour

Number of vacancies:  1

Availability: as soon as possible

Language of work: English

Work location: 120 Dynamic Drive, Unit 36, Toronto, ON M1V 5C8

Personal Suitability:

Ability to work safely with sharp tools, ability to stand for extended periods, ability to lift heavy items and ability to work in low temperatures; must have strong manual skills.

Job Duties:

• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
• Cut, trim and prepare custom and standard cuts of meat
• Wrap and package prepared meats
• Remove bones from meat
• Cut poultry into parts
• Prepare special displays of meats and poultry
• Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats and poultry
• Adhere to food safety guidelines
• Follow all safety regulations and support others in working safety

Qualifications:

• 1 year butcher/knife experience
• Experience in meat processing or food handling and/or storage
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Self-motivated with positive attitude
• Excellent hand-eye coordination skills
• Available to work with a flexible schedule including after hours and weekends if needed.
