Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant management experience, including supervising teams and handling food industry operations, is essential. Hospitality background, including hotel or barista experience, will be considered a plus. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the smooth running of all restaurant functions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction
- Supervise and train staff, including interviewing potential team members and conducting performance evaluations
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards
- Handle POS systems such as Square POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor kitchen activities, including food safety, cleanliness, and inventory management
- Lead team management efforts to promote teamwork, hospitality, and excellent customer service
- Maintain high standards of food industry practices, including food presentation and serving protocols
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure positive dining experiences
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of restaurant staff
