Education: No Degree Certificate or Diploma
Work Experience: 2 Years to Less than 3 Years
Job Duties:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard motors and related marine mechanical systems used at the resort.
Perform routine inspections, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance to keep boats operating safely and reliably.
Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, electrical, and starting issues on a variety of small marine engines.
Assist with launching, recovery, and on-water readiness checks for resort boats as required.
Complete service notes, maintenance logs, and parts requests accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow safety procedures and environmental best practices when handling fuel, oil, tools, and equipment.
Work with resort operations staff to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime during busy guest periods.
Inspect parts and supplies, and recommend ordering of Prepare boat engines at the start of the year for the season
Winterize the boats and engines to be stored for the winter season

Job Requirements:
Completion of a two- to four-year apprenticeship program or college, high school or industry courses combined with several years of related work experience or several years of on-the-job training are required.
Strong outboard engine experience is required; Tohatsu motor experience is considered an asset.
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently and complete quality repairs.
Comfortable working in a physically active outdoor environment in Northern Ontario conditions.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety, reliability, and preventative maintenance.
Good communication and teamwork skills to support a busy resort operation.
Willingness to relocate to Northern Ontario is preferred and appreciated.
