Position Info:

• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $22.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: #1-612 Head St, Victoria, BC V9A 5S8

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook Japanese menu items according to established restaurant recipes and quality standards
• Modify food preparation procedures to safely accommodate customer allergies and dietary restrictions
• Inspect food prep stations and kitchen equipment daily to guarantee safety and compliance
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cooking utensils, and food preparation areas throughout shifts
• Track ingredient stock levels and record usage of kitchen supplies to avoid shortages
• Order food ingredients and kitchen supplies directly from designated vendors
• Oversee kitchen helpers during daily food prep and raw ingredient processing

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
