Position Info:

• Position: Head Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 280 Guelph Street, Suite FC6, Georgetown, Ontario L7G 4B1

Benefits:

• 4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare and grill souvlaki, gyro, and other Greek specialties for daily service
• Source meat, produce, and kitchen supplies to keep operations running
• Oversee cooks and kitchen staff during prep and service
• Train kitchen staff on proper technique, garnishing, and plating
• Track food costs, stock levels, usage, and sales trends
• Update menu offerings over time while keeping flavor and presentation authentic to Greek cooking
• Create and test recipes for new and rotating menu items
• Introduce updated grilling techniques and equipment to the team
• Adjust dishes to accommodate customer allergies and dietary needs

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 5 or more years of commercial cooking experience, including supervisory experience, is required
