Description

Banza Noodle and Tea House, a busy noodle and tea restaurant in Winnipeg, is currently looking for an experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee our kitchen and front-of-house food service operations.

This role focuses on staff supervision, meal preparation coordination, and quality and safety standards. We are seeking someone with restaurant experience who is comfortable leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, permanent on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Establish and manage work schedules
  • Supervise a team of approximately 3–4 employees

 

Qualifications

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including standing for extended periods
  • Team player with strong dependability

 

Position Details

Location: 102 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B4

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week

Schedule: Morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts (flexible hours)

Wage: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour (to be negotiated)

Start date: As soon as possible
