Position Info:

·         Position: Child-care Centre Director

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $45.02/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 101-335 Carnarvon St., New Westminster, BC V3L 1B9

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Plan, organize, and implement high-quality early childhood education (ECE) programs

·         Assess child-care programs and curriculum development to ensure continuous quality improvement and child engagement

·         Establish clear administrative guidelines for center staff, enrollment procedures, and daily routine management

·         Recruit, onboard, and deliver professional development training for certified ECE teachers and support staff

·         Lead, supervise, and provide ongoing guidance to the childcare team to maintain a supportive and high-performing work environment

·         Mentor and coach educators to enhance their childcare delivery and classroom management skills

·         Establish and monitor an annual operating budget, including operational resources, staffing costs, and program expenses

·         Address and resolve workplace issues or conflicts involving parents and staff members with professionalism

·         Collaborate with stakeholders and represent the centre in communications with regulatory bodies, community partners, and external organizations

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a related field is required

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Language: English
