Education: No degree certificate or diploma. Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is an asset
Work Experience: 3-5 years of tile installation or related construction experience is required
Job Duties:
Measure, cut, and install ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile in residential renovation projects.
Prepare and level surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying underlayment as required.
Mix and apply mortar, adhesive, grout, and sealants to manufacturer specifications.
Install other types of floorings such as Hardwood and Vinal when required.
Use hand and power tools to cut tile around corners, fixtures, and custom layouts.
Inspect finished work for alignment, spacing, and surface quality to meet project standards.
Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Coordinate with supervisors, carpenters, and other trades to complete jobs on schedule.
Track materials used and report any shortages, defects, or installation issues.
Job Requirements:
Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is an asset
3-5 years of tile installation or related construction experience is required
Ability to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work in physically demanding conditions.
Comfortable using tile-cutting tools, trowels, levels, and measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate finishes.
Good communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented work style.
Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Ajax and Durham Region area is an asset.
Willingness to follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
