Nify Trading Ltd. located in Surrey BC, is looking for the suitable individual for Retail Technology & Transformation Manager position for its Surrey, BC location. The role focuses on managing retail technology integration, store systems, cloud-managed infrastructure, vendor coordination, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives for telecommunications retail operations.

Main duties
l Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the company's retail technology function supporting store operations, POS/payment connectivity, CRM/customer workflows, inventory visibility, video monitoring, secure branch operations, and cloud-managed infrastructure.
l Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices related to retail technology infrastructure, electronic data processing, computer systems development, cybersecurity, and operational support.
l Lead digital transformation initiatives by identifying technology solutions that improve retail operations, customer experience, inventory management, sales performance, and overall business efficiency.
l Meet with internal stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and business partners to determine technology requirements, define project specifications, establish budgets, and develop implementation timelines.
l Manage and coordinate cross-functional technology projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, cloud-based solutions, network enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
l Lead and coordinate internal stakeholders, external technology vendors, managed service providers, system integrators, consultants, technical support resources, and project-based contractors involved in retail technology and transformation initiatives.
l Oversee the design, development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and administration of retail software applications, telecommunications systems, databases, networks, and information systems.
l Evaluate security, reliability and performance of technology systems, including secure access, branch security policy, identity-based controls, centralized monitoring and incident escalation processes. ensuring compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
l Control departmental and project budgets by planning expenditures, evaluating technology investments, negotiating vendor contracts, and ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
l Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise information technology personnel and provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and technical expertise.
l Identify technology resource requirements, coordinate vendor and contractor support, provide technical guidance to store operations and support staff, and ensure knowledge transfer for ongoing technology operations
l Analyze business processes and operational challenges and recommend innovative technology solutions to support organizational growth, scalability, and competitive advantage.
l Assess AI-assisted monitoring, anomaly detection, video analytics, footfall visibility and store performance analytics where they can improve operational visibility and decision-making.
l Prepare management reports, project updates, risk assessments, and strategic technology plans for senior leadership, and provide recommendations regarding future technology investments and transformation initiatives.
l Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
l Report to board of directors
Employment requirements
• A diploma or above in information systems, business technology, engineering, computer science, or a related field is required. Or an equivalent combination of senior-level enterprise technology experience and recognized industry certifications will be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale network and digital infrastructure solutions for multi-site organizations is required.
• 5+ years of management or functional leadership experience in systems analysis and architecture, information systems management, network design, cybersecurity, vendor management, or technology project delivery is required.
• Industry-recognized enterprise certifications (such as Cisco CCIE, CCNP Enterprise, or equivalent) are considered strong assets.
• Exceptional time management skills, attention to details, team player and leadership skills.
• Ability to multi- task, independence and prioritise is a must
