We are looking for customer focused dynamic individuals to fill supermarket department clerk positions. Fairway Market is looking for individuals who are pro-active with innovative new ideas to assist and develop successful departments for the company.

Grocery Clerks – 12 Positions

Salary $18.25 per hour , 7.5 to 8 hours per day , 5 days a week , flexible shift schedule , 2 days flexible days off .
Work schedules are expected to be shift 7.5 up to 8 hours , depending on the business operation, these shifts will continuously vary from early morning, afternoon and evening.
A supermarket clerk's primary responsibility is to maintain a well-stocked, organized, and clean grocery store, while also providing excellent customer service. This involves stocking shelves, assisting customers, managing inventory, and sometimes checking out customers. They may also help with deliveries, displays, and general cleaning duties.
Positions are full time and individuals must be able to work flexible work schedules (days/evenings/weekends/holidays).

Job Description
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Maintaining shelves and displays, ensuring products are properly displayed and not expired.
Assisting customers with locating items, answering questions, and providing positive interactions.
Tracking inventory levels, receiving deliveries and verifying invoices.
Maintaining a clean and tidy shopping environment, including sweeping, mopping and dusting.
Operating a cash register, scanning and bagging items and processing payments either cash payments or electronic (debit/credit) payments.
Filling in as a bagger, providing carry out service or assisting with other tasks as needed.

Essential Skills:
Friendly and helpful attitude, ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to stand for long periods, lifts and carries items 10 kg – 25 kg in weight, and engages in repetitive movements. Working in temperature controlled environments 4-degrees Celsius to minus 18-degrees Celsius.
Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring products are displayed correctly.
Keeping the store organized and ensuring efficient stocking and inventory management.
Dealing with customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience.
