Wage Rate: $36.00 Per Hour (35-40 hours/week)

Overtime: $54.00 Per Hour after 40 Hours/week 

Language: English

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program are required.
• Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in automotive technology is required to be eligible for trade certification.
• Trade certification for automotive service technicians is compulsory

Duties:  

• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Test automotive systems and components
• Inspect motor in operation
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Provide customer service
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
