Skills Requirements:

• Education: Completion of Secondary/High School Graduation Certificate
• Work experience: 1 month to less than 7 months of experience as a Child Caregiver is required
• First Aid and CPR Certification is required

Job Duties:

• Provide attentive care and supervision for a school-aged child in the employer’s private home
• Ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and comfort at all times
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to special dietary needs and parental guidelines for Inflammatory bowel disease
• Support the child with daily routines, including personal hygiene and age-appropriate self-care
• Monitor and attend to the child’s minor health needs as directed by the parents
• Oversee after-school activities, homework time, meals, and rest periods
• Encourage positive behavior, emotional well-being, and social development
• Engage the child in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, such as reading, games, crafts, and supervised outings
• Transport the child to and from school, extracurricular activities, and medical or other appointments as required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment related to the child’s care
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s daily activities, progress, and any health-related observations
• Follow parental guidance regarding discipline and daily care routines
