Working Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week / 7 – 8 hours per day

Wage: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour (median: 20.45)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are now hiring a food service supervisor to join our team!

 

 

Main duties

 

  • Oversee, plan, and direct the work of employees who prepare, portion, and serve meals.
  • Calculate, estimate, and place orders for the supplies and ingredients needed to prepare meals.
  • Prepare food order summaries according to clients’ requests.
  • Create work schedules and protocols.
  • Keep track of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Educate employees on job responsibilities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee and inspect the delivery of food trolleys to hospital patients as well as the assembling of standard and special diet trays.
  • Ensure that the food and service adhere to quality control requirements.

 

Employment Requirements

 

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
  • At least one- or two- years of experience in customer service or similar roll may be required
  • One- or two- years of experience in food service sector may be required
  • Completion of one- or two-years relevant program, or completion of a college or equivalent program is a plus.
  • English language ability is required
