Position Info:

• Position: Tile Installer
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00-$40.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 2786 Lake Breeze Crescent, Langford, BC V9B 6L6

Job Duties:

• Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered
• Construct underbeds and install anchor bolts, cables and brackets
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting equipment
• Use levels, squares and straightedges to align and straighten tiles and ensure high-quality finish
• Cut, surface, polish and install various materials including marble, granite, slate and mosaic
• Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles and perform necessary repairs
• Estimate material requirements and costs for projects
• Install divider strips and edge trims for clean transitions
• Affix tiles to the base ensuring proper bonding and alignment

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in related field is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
