1 year as a Tow Truck Driver
– Languages:
Written and Oral English
Duties:
Operate tow trucks, flatbeds, or wheel-lift vehicles to recover, secure, and transport disabled, impounded, or illegally parked vehicles.
Respond to roadside assistance calls, including breakdowns, collisions, winch-outs, lockouts, and battery boosts.
Assess vehicles at the scene and determine the appropriate towing, lifting, or recovery method based on vehicle condition and environment.
Attach and secure vehicles using chains, straps, dollies, or hydraulic lift systems, ensuring safe transportation.
Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the tow truck, equipment, and safety tools in accordance with transportation regulations.
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, towing standards, and company policies during roadside operations and transportation.
Prepare and maintain service reports, tow invoices, condition documentation, and vehicle transfer paperwork.
Load and unload vehicles safely at repair shops, impound yards, customer locations, or storage facilities.
Provide professional customer service, explaining procedures and ensuring the safe return or release of vehicles.
Perform minor roadside mechanical assistance when applicable (battery boosts, tire changes, unlocking vehicles, fuel delivery).
Maintain the cleanliness, mechanical upkeep, and safe operation of the tow truck.
