Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Tasks
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as equipment, loading, and unloading, and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage and create inspection reports.
Book or enter information on the onboard computer.
Communicate with the dispatcher and other drivers using a two-way radio, cellular telephone, and an onboard computer.
Load and unload goods.
