Responsibilities
Tasks
1. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management.
3. Analyze financial performance and variances to forecast future financial outcomes.
4. Oversee the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
5. Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
6. Monitor and control costs to improve the company’s profitability.
7. Evaluate and manage investment opportunities and strategies to optimize the company’s portfolio.
8. Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
10. Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with Canadian regulations and industry standards.
11. Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure accurate and compliant financial records.
12. Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and effective performance.
13. Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
14. Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions and strategies.
15. Oversee the budgeting and financial management of IT projects and operations.
16. Evaluate the financial impact of new technologies and IT initiatives on the company.
17. Conduct financial analysis to assess the cost-effectiveness of IT investments.
