Job requirements:
•ECE Basic certificate to practice in BC
•First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
•Experience as an asset
 
Educational Requirements:
College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
 
Language requirements:
English
 
Start Date: ASAP
 
Wage:
$22.00-25.00/hour (Depending on experience)
*Plus, ECE wage enhancement with ECE or ECE I/T & S/N certification.
 
Hours:
30 – 40h/week
 
Benefits:
•10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay, extended health care benefit
 
 
Job Duties:
´é× Develop and implement child-care programs and daily and long-term lesson plans that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children in accordance with the core competencies to be established by Kinderbees
´é× Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of classrooms and all common facilities in accordance with best practices set by Kinderbees
´é× Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
´é× Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children, and monitor and assess in-classroom progress of children
´é× Engage with families of children, and assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
´é× Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
´é× Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
´é× Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
´é× Proactively advise families regarding any concerns opportunities for at-home
learning for children
´é× Promptly report issues of concern relating to safety or program improvements,
and seek out ways to improve the situation
