Miku Vancouver first introduced Aburi-style cuisine to Vancouver in 2008. Today, Miku offers a full bar and lounge area, waterfront patio, and private dining room at the harbour front of Downtown Vancouver’s Canada Place. Miku combines traditional Japanese flavours and techniques with local, west coast elements to create a truly unique dining experience enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Innovative desserts made in-house by our pastry team create the perfect ending to the culinary experience.

Procurement Clerk

This role is involved with the procurement of ingredients, materials, and tools used at our establishment. Prior experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset.

Location: 200 Granville St #70, Vancouver, BC V6C 1S4

Start Date: ASAP

Vacancies: 2

Hours: Full-Time, 35-40 hours per week

Language Requirement: English

Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Minimum Experience:
At least 1 year experience. Prior experience in the food and beverage industry is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform routine clerical duties
  • Process files and paperwork
  • ·Provide information on available materials
  • Calculate costs of orders
  • Complete and process international purchase orders
  • Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers
  • Process purchases
  • Resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers
  • Set up and maintain inventory control system
  • Verify stock availability from current inventories
  • Compile inventory reports
  • Conduct quality control
  • Liaise with Canada Customs
  • Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks
  • Prepare inventory costs, retail pricing and profit reports
  • Prepare requisition orders to replenish stock
  • Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts
  • Record the quantity, type and value of stock on hand using computerized or manual inventory system
  • Verify receipts and packing slips
